Prior to launching her communications company, Cari was the Co-Founder of Urban Interns, which she took from concept to a nationally recognizable brand. In other words, she knows first hand how to build buzz in the media.
Prior to Urban Interns, Cari practiced law at the international law firms of Bryan Cave LLP.
Cari has written frequently on topics related to entrepreneurship and communications. She writes an ongoing column for Forbes called the Entrepreneurs Brand maven and has written for Entrepreneur and Fast Company. Additionally, her career has been profiled by dozens of blogs and newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal.
Cari is a member of the Board of Directors of She’s the First, a not-for-profit that sponsors girls’ education in the developing world. She is a mentor at eLab, Cornell University’s undergraduate incubator and a member of the Presiden’ts Council of Cornell Women. From 2006-2009. Cari was the Chair of Step Up Women’s Network, a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing women and girls.
She is a graduate of Cornell University and Brooklyn Law.
